Method 1: Look for the product label on your computer.
For most computers, you can find the product model number on a label or sticker located on the outside of the case.
Laptops and tablets
The label may be located on or near the:
base or back of the product
screen, keyboard trim, or palm rest
Desktops and all-in-ones
The label may be located on the:
back, top, or side of the tower case
lower back of the all-in-one case or stand
Method 2: Open the Dell SupportAssist application for Windows.
SupportAssist is a Dell application that comes installed on your computer. It uses updates and proactive resolution features to help identify and prevent issues. When you open the application, your product model is displayed.
To find your product model using SupportAssist
Swipe in from the right edge of the screen or move the cursor to the upper right corner of the screen until the Charms Bar appears.
In the Search Box, type SupportAssist.
Touch or click SupportAssist in the search results to open the application. If SupportAssist is not listed in the search results, it means the application is not installed on your computer. Your product model is displayed on the main screen of the application.
Method 3: Open the Windows System Information window.(As shown in Windows)
