It happens every four years, and now the entire world will be wrapped up in the 2018 Winter Olympics, which have already started in PyeongChang, South Korea. We will be interested in ice skating, skiing, bobsledding, and the many other winter sports, besides hockey, that only seem to become relevant during the Winter Olympics.

NBC is once again handling the coverage of the games in the US, and in addition to watching it the old-fashioned way on its broadcast and cable TV networks, sports fans can watch tons of coverage online on their smartphone, PC or tablet.

How to watch on NBCOlympics.com

NBC launched the NBCOlympics.com website for people who want to check out the coverage on their Windows and Mac PCs. It’s compatible with Google’s Chrome, Mozilla’s Firefox, Apple’s Safari and Microsoft’s Edge web browsers. It will feature over 800 hours of coverage during the Winter Olympics, which includes all of NBC’s prime-time shows, such as the opening ceremonies which begins on Friday, Feb. 9.

The site will show the events with live streams, along with on-demand video. It will also be the home to three exclusive shows: Gold Zone, Olympic Ice and Off the Post. You can watch coverage for 30 minutes, but after that you will need to sign in with your cable, satellite or telco logins to keep watching the coverage.

How to watch on the NBC Sports app

For people who want to watch the coverage of the Olympics on their smartphone or tablet, the NBC Sports app is the way to go. It will have all of the same video coverage of the 2018 Winter Olympics that’s available on the NBCOlympics.com website, including its digital-only programs.

Again, you can watch 30 minutes of video on the app before you are asked to type in your cable, satellite or telco logins so you can continue watching. The app is available for Android, iOS, Amazon Fire tablets and Fire TV devices, Roku, Apple TV, Windows 10, the Xbox One console and some of Samsung’s smart TVs.

How to watch on Hulu Live TV

If you have signed up for the Hulu Live TV service, you can also watch NBC’s live coverage of the 2018 Winter Olympic Games from that source. What’s interesting is that those subscribers can also customize Hulu’s interface so that the specific sports that they are most interested in watching will always be on top of the screen. So if you are most interesting in watching ice skating, hockey or curling, those videos will always have top prioruty on Hulu Live TV’s UI.

How to watch in virtual reality

In addition to offering a ton of normal video coverage of the 2018 Winter Olympics, NBC will also show 50 hours of 360-degree and 180-degree video coverage specifically made for virtual reality headsets with the NBC Sports VR app. The app is available for Google Cardboard, Oculus Rift, Samsung Gear VR, Google Daydream, and Windows Mixed Reality headsets. You can get the full schedule of VR Winter Olympics coverage, plus how to download the app for your specific headset, at the NBCOlympics web site.

Conclusion

If you are a fan of the sports in the 2018 Winter Olympics, there’s no excuse for you to miss any of NBC’s coverage of the games. Which platform will you use to watch the events over the next 18 days?
